The FRO displays length measurement in your choice of fractions of an inch down to 1/64, decimal parts of an inch, or metric. Most useful for wood workers, picture framers and cabinet makers. The digital scale must be mounted on the tool.

The DRO displays length measurement in decimals to 0.0015 (half a thousandth of an inch), or metal. Used by metal workers and mechenists. The digital scale must be mounted on the tool.

Both the FRO and DRO greatly improve the accuracy of tools and the speed and convenience of measurement. The Fractional Readout (FRO) is a logical next step in efficient use of the Pistorius Miter Saw. Once installed and calibrated with a moulding piece of carefully measured inside length, the FRO saves time and prevents mistakes, even with an unskilled operator. Large clear numbers give the user the inside measure, plus the allowance if desired, down to your choice of 1/16, 1/32 or 1/64 of an inch, or decimal parts of an inch, or metric, at the touch of a button.

Our Archival Shrink Bags are so simple and easy to use. Just slip the art and its backing into the bag, tape the open end shut with a special tape supplied, and shrink the bag with a heat gun. You will have a beautiful, tough and long lasting protection and display for your art that will allow you to show it, hang it on a wall, store it or ship your art or present it in an art gallery. Most galleries prefer to show shrink wrapped art, since the final purchaser often prefers to select their own frame. How to use Mountex Shrink Bags:

Both an artist product and a framing product, Mountex is a unique polyolefin blend, specifically designed for protecting art, particularly art on paper. Because it is polyolefin, it is extremely inert, and therefore archivally safe for use in contact with valuable art, even for many years. It is in fact safer than framing under glass. Mountex is a high clarity, medium gloss shrink film. It is also tough, puncture and abrasion resistant, and easy to seal and shrink with any type of heat sealer. It is particularly well adapted for use with the Mini-Wrap and the Handi-Seal shrink packagers, with very little puckering at the seal. Since it does not cling, it is easy to separate and to slip the art work inside the center-folded film.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Mountex Shrink Film is supplied in rolls of 24 and 36 inch width, two gauges (thicknesses) and either 100 foot or 500 foot length rolls. All the rolls are center-folded, for convenience in shrink packaging art. It should be applied with a heat trim sealer, such as the Mini-Wrap, or a hot wire sealer, and it must be shrunk with a heat gun or other source of heat in excess of 250 degrees Fahrenheit. It will not shrink with a hair dryer.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Mountex Economy Shrink Wrap is made from 75 gauge polyvinyl chloride, which shrinks when heated with a heat gun or a hair dryer. A tacking iron may also be used to tack the film down and to shrink it.

Mountex Economy Shrink Wrap is a PVC shrink film designed for artists who do not want to use a film that requires a heat sealer. It is clingy, which means that it can be applied to the art and backing simply by overlapping it on itself. A laundry iron, tacking iron or heat gun may be used to make the overlap stronger and more permanent Economy Shrink Wrap is not as strong, as smooth, or as permanent as archival Mountex shrink film. It does provide quick temporary protection for art without using a heat sealer.
